Youth-Led Educational Forum on the Job of Washtenaw County Sheriff
Young scholars from Ypsilanti Community Middle School will host a candidates’ forum for the job of Washtenaw County Sheriff. These young scholars have been preparing since early November 2023 to better understand the expansive and complicated work of the Washtenaw County Sheriff.
This event, a collaboration between One Love Symposium and Ypsilanti Community Middle School will also feature performances from Ypsilanti Community Middle School Choir and Band ensembles as well as a special performance by Detroit Poet, filmmaker, and playwright, Rose Marie Wilson, better known as One Single Rose. Washtenaw County fine arts painter, Asha J. will engage participants in a community-constructed image-making process. Community dinner will be served. Local vendors will be featured.
